The People Behind the Practice
Why Empowered Therapy Collective Exists
Empowered Therapy Collective was born from a vision of what therapy could be—a place where individuals are celebrated for who they are, families are truly heard, and progress is measured in confidence as much as skills.
Our founder, Taryn Taylor, is both a speech-language pathologist and a neurodivergent person herself. This unique perspective shapes everything we do. She understands from personal experience what it means to think differently, and she brings deep empathy to her work with individuals and families.
After years in traditional clinical settings, Taryn saw too many families burned out by rigid approaches and too many individuals discouraged by therapy that focused on what they couldn't do. She knew there had to be a better way.
Empowered Therapy Collective is that better way. We've built a practice where speech therapy and occupational therapy work together, where families are partners in the process, and where every individual's unique strengths are the foundation for growth.
Today, we serve families through our clinic in Springdale, Arkansas, as well as in the community, private schools, in-home, and through teletherapy. And we're just getting started.
Our Mission
We provide affirming, individualized therapy that helps children feel safe, understood, and empowered—supporting families through collaboration, curiosity, and respect for each child’s unique way of being.
What We Stand For
These values guide our clinical decisions, our interactions with families, and how we build our team.
Authentic Connection
We build genuine relationships with every client and family we serve. Therapy works better when it's built on trust.
Respect for All
Every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and valued exactly as they are. We honor neurodivergent experiences.
Empowering Families
We don't just treat individuals—we equip families with knowledge and tools that last long after therapy ends.
Continuous Growth
We stay current with research and listen to the neurodivergent community to continually improve our practice.
